Art - Sketches

2022-2023 Artworks

Abstract houses

This was one of my earliest drawings, and I remember experimenting with weird angles and perspectives. I was having fun with the weird design.

Droplet on grass

One of my first pieces that I was actually proud of. I really like how it turned out, even if the shading could use some minor tweaking.

Float

All I can say about this is that it is a duck donut of the purest form, nothing else. Quack!

Cheese

Drawing slabs of concrete is actually mildly difficult when it's damaged. All the little grooves provide much challenge, but it's still very fun. Hm, now that I think about it, it looks more like a piece of misshapen tofu than a concrete brick.

2023-2024 Artworks

Mountain road

This drawing in my mind was supposed to be an ice cave, but all it looks like is a weird mountain. This is what I saw in my head when writing the song “Ice Shaard”, a path of ice that is crumbling over an infinite pit.

Cat

I think cats are really cute, but this one looks like someone snapped its neck. I mean, the face is still mostly ok, just not the rest of its body. Just think of it as a cat who can spin its head 180 degrees.

Crane

This was my first experience with pen drawings. The right wing looks a bit crooked, but otherwise I think it came out ok.

Flower

Pen art is really, really cool, but it is hard to keep high quality dots that don’t vary in size. Some of my dots were a bit long, but I do like the overall shading of the piece. It somewhat reminds me of the style that Albert Dubois-Pillet used to paint in.

Flower

Now this one I could control the overall shape much better, but shading was more difficult as drawing grey lines with a pen was very hard.

Rose

Nothing must to say about this one that's any different than the other line pen art work. Shading is a pain.

Palm tree

I really enjoyed drawing the palm leaves, I think I nailed the texture pretty well.

Tree pot

Yet another pen art. I drew this based on someone else’s drawing, and I don’t understand why there are steps leading into a smoke pipe with a tree growing out it in the sky. I think I could’ve stippled a bit more to create a better shading gradient. Also the dots for the clouds are too even.

2024-2025 Artworks

Mushroom house

I think the concept of a mushroom house looks cute, although not very practical.

Pyramid

The beginning of my journey into true still life drawing. This is the classic first geometric object that every art student has to master how to draw. It requires perfection of shading control to properly contrast the colors of each face. My black fingers….

Gundam

My first line of Gundam drawings. I had recently started reading Gundam the Origin. It was also my first experience with colored pencils. This drawing helped me train my ability to draw more complex geometric shapes.

Gundam pose

This drawing was based off of a real life model. It was a bit of a pain having to hold the same position to draw each part of it, but I think it looks very cool.

Gundam head

This was my final self test of my ability to draw geometric shapes. The detailed head region of the Double Zeta was very intricate, and I believe I nailed almost every detail of it.

2025-2026 Artworks

Still life 2

One of my more recent pieces, I feel like the shading could have gotten a bit darker, but overall I really like how it turned out.

Still life 3

By far the hardest part was getting the reflection in the pot to look accurate. I still wish it was a bit darker around some parts.

Still life

I had no idea what the main object in the still life was but drawing it was pretty fun, especially with all the extra doohickies sticking out the top.
